Can we as employers issue a employee with a final written warning if no previous warnings were given. He was found guilty of poor performance and failure to comply with the rules of the company as well as negligence which lead to multiple complaints and comebacks from customers. The company incurred unnecessary costs following this. The employee signed a document stating what company policies must be followed and obeyed and he still did not comply after several verbal warnings and counselling from the manager.
