Good day

My former employer i worked for from January 2019 to Mei 2019 ( i had resigned ) has ignored all attempts on my requests for my UI19 form. I was told by my the employer i had to get my lawer to ask him for the form, witch i did. My lawer sent out the email but still he has ignored the request. And i do not have to income to pay my lawer again for another consultation.

 

Please can someone help as i no longer know what to do, as my new job has Retrenched me and i need to register for UIF. But i do not have my UI19 form from my former employer.

Good day, 

This is a department of labour issue. 

I would suggest that you call or visit your nearest department of labour and then file a complaint. The department will assign a labour investigator a ruling will be made that forces the employer to hand over your UI19 form. 

This is the quickest and cheapest option for you.
