I was hoping to find some clarity regarding a current dilemma which i find myself in;
I have been undergoing chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant in an attempt to fight a disease i have, i have been off work for 4 months (Of which i had 26 days in my 3 year cycle)
I have a private policy which is going to pay out (maybe) 75% of one months salary ;( i have also asked my organisation if they make provisions for "special leave applications" as i know most corporate organisations in this day and age do - to which my HR is not directly impacted and therefore doesn't really care about looking into it.
Is there anything i am missing here or should i just take the unpaid leave and be happy ?
Your feedback in this regard would be much appreciated.
