Our Tourism Office Manager is being offered a new contract with a reduction in salary to the minimum wage. Her old contract has been cancelled and She was asked some time during that contract to again take a reduction in salary or lose her job. A new tourism marketing manager has been employed on a 6 months contract. The reason given for her reduction in pay is that there is no money! If that is so how can a new marketing manager be employed - also his job was not advwrtised. Is all this legal? Does she have to accept the new cintract and reduction in salary? Can she fight this and if so who does she speak to?
