what are my legal rights when working for a narcissistic manager. Im not allowed to look away from my screen during meetings, literally my eyes are not allowed to move away from the screen. The manager has screamed at us, has sworn at us in a boardroom, is forcing us to engage with work colleagues (that's an actual task although the members all chat, we just dont chat with the manager) When I o to the toilet, i need to inform them. When we are in the office, we are forced to sit in one boardroom the whole day and not allowed to use laptop when she speaks - even if on a call with a client, i ned to drop the call and attend to the manager. Im put on information performance although I have delivered, i just have not delivered the way she wants. I have a task to compile a report - I complete the report, she does not accept the report and therefor my task keeps being overdue, although I have submitted the report several times, its just her personal opinion on how good the report it. She scored me very low in my performance review and HR now got involved and put me on incapacity hearing. During the hearing, I was honest and gave inputs, the manager got worked up but HR did nothing, when I tried to defend myself, HR explained that this process is to resolve issues and not pass blame, but I honestly do not know what to do. I have for exampled asked my manager to assist, since im not delivering the report, She just says im the specialist and the manager expects me to know what to do. Im very good at my work, I just dont know the formal processes in the organization, she has not provided any guidance, instead says I should try and figure it out. I spoke to HR over the phone and said I dont know what to do anymore, I dont get guidance, but are expected to deliver. Do I have legal rights as our whole team is suffering from phycological issues as a result of this narcissist.
