Good day, and thank you for your question,

from time to time the employer may require you to take on additional functions. An increase is also not automatically give in the situation.

I would therefore advise that you make a request for an increase in remuneration based on the fact that your job description/ functions have changed officially and therefore it would only be fair that your salary is increased as well.

alternatively, see the following link below for information where your terms and conditions have changed unilaterally:

I would like some advice on a current matter at my place of employment:

A new memo book has been introduced that includes notices of what the boss and management have decided to implement or make note of.
We are expected to sign the book after a brief highlighted talk from the boss on what the topic is (no detail or agreement with employees).

The current issue is that of being put on short time and having the hours banked for future deductions, during loadshedding. We are now coming in later or leaving earlier for the stage 4 loadshedding times, however, I am able to work during these times (as there is a generator at work), only selected employees seem to get the option to work from home.
I am now being forced to sign the notice. Please advise, as I do not want to sign a document that could be held against me or my salary or future overtime working or leave days.
My contract does include a section for loadshedding, however previously, we could work due to the generator and only now that a portion of the company cannot work, the entire company's employees are impacted. It is now costing me more money to come into work during these times.
