with problems at work?
I am in full time employment in an executive position. I have been in the role for less 6 months. My contract indicates one (1) months notice period.
I was issued a S189 notice to retrench. I had two consultation meetings. I recieved a notice of retrenchment/dismissal on the 6th March.
The letter indicates i am not required to work my notice and my notice pay for April will be paid to me at the end of March.
It is not clear if i will recieve March salary and then April notice pay, all at the end of March.
Can they retrench/dismiss on the 6th March and merely pay my notice pay out as the last payment to me at the end of March?
Or should i be entitled to March salary and April notice pay to be paid at the end of March?
Please help
