I recently returned from leave , I was approached and said the company we having a salary cut from R6000.00 to R4000.00 just above the minimum wage. The clause is that the extra bonus will be added R250 and used as an incentive. There was no consultations, I refused to sign the form and there was no agreements with staff. Today the have placed people salaries on display in the call centre and the demerits which is also R250. I feel this is unfair labour practice
My question are:
Is this legal to reduce ones salary when there was no indication of financial problems or meeting with employees?
