with problems at work?
Hi,
I was recently given a document of a mutual agreement to terminate my contract with my employer.
He has offered me a 3 months salary compensation.
When I asked what will happen if I decide not to sign the agreement, I was told that I will then be retrenched as my position has become redundant.
I am the only employee in the entire company (+-20 employees) to get this.
My questions are:
Is it lawful for the company to do this?
If I do sign the agreement, can I claim UIF?
If I do sign the agreement, will the 3 months lump sum payment be taxable?
