I have been employed by a company since 01 Feb 2016, since then I have only received my salary as and when the company has got the money to do so, or when the Director of the company feels it fit to pay me. My salary agreement was R 12000.00 per month and then also the company would pay my medical aid. In the last two months, August and September I have not received a single payment, and then on the 3 October my medical aid was paid. My question now is I know the stock and asset value of the company can I lay claim to any of this to retrieve my monies owed? Thank you,
The preferred approach is to request that a Labour Inspector be appointed to investigate the non-payment and to issue a compliance notice. You will have to go to the Department of Labour to make this request.
