Written Warning for Negligence

Good Evening

I have a friend who has just been issued with a written warning for Negligence on a standard warning form, but in the employers comments section it has been requested from her to acknowledge additional claims made by employer regarding the case, which now looks like it is turning into final written warning. Can this be done by an employer and if this section is reserved for comments how is it possible for the employer to expect her to acknowledge additional claims made by the employer.

Your help would be sincerely appreciated.

An employer cannot force an employee to "confess" to an alleged act of misconduct. In order to take any further disciplinary action, the employee should be given the opportunity to respond with their version of events. The onus is on the employer to prove that the misconduct occurred.
