Part of my package for the previous 6 years has included my accommodation in a flat on my boss' property, that he himself has always valued at R3000 per month. The living arrangement has become uncomfortable but my job is still secure. He recently gave me until the end of May to find alternative accommodation. This morning I sent him an email proposing that my salary be adjusted according the the value he puts on my current accommodation so that I can afford to move. He phoned me to say that he cannot afford this; basically retracting my notice. I feel that I'm being treated as a puppet and constantly have to slot in whenever his mind is changed, to suit himself. I now WANT to find accommodation elsewhere but can't afford it without such an adjustment. Any suggestions please.
