I need some advise please regarding a situation with my present employer.
Ive been employed with them since July 2015, the LOA which they gave me back then was a permanent contract. In JAN 2016 they took on another partner and have now given me a new LOA to sign which is very different to the previous permanent LOA which I already signed. They also want to change my salary to a much lower rate + comm with immediate effect. In my previous LOA there was a clause stating should they at all review the LOA that it would be my choice to stay on my current basic or go onto their structured salary which is a much lower basic + comm. I told them from the get go that I am not comfortable with that. They are now forcing me onto signing this new LOA with the lower basic + comm and have removed the previous clause from the new LOA as well. I need to know:
can they decrease my salary?
can they give me a new LOA when i have already signed a permanent LOA in July last year?
