Please advise?
I started work 2nd of March 2015 after signing only an offer of employment. I started work as a technician, and on a fixed salary. In July 2015 I was "promoted" to position as sales manager, but my salary never changed.
Today, October 28th my employer has asked me to sign a contract of employment, and has backdated the contract to start on March 1st 2015 in the position of sales manager...and at a salary 30% higher than I was originally hired on.
Is this allowed? My payslips all state "technician"...surely this is not legal? I have never been presented with a contract until today, almost 9months after starting, & I am being asked to sign a contract saying I started in a position I never held, for pay I never received.
Advice?
