Victimisation/Discrimination at work

I am a member of Labour Protect, but I need advice as I am scared to loose my job if I make an official call.

I have been working at this company for more than 5 years. The Manager hates me and shouts at me even if I ask relevant questions regarding my job. I cannot fathom out why he hates me so much, but his attitute towards me is totally unacceptable and everybody at the company knows it. Usually when there is a problem with a collegue, one speaks to your supperior to try and resolve the problem. In my case it is very difficult as the person I have a problem with is my supperior and the one I have to report to. I feel I am being treated unfairly and he does not trust me. I have never done anything to do deserve the mistrust. I have never taken anything - not even time - from the company. I am always on time, I am dedicated and loyal, but never receive a kind word from him. I am good at my job and very meticulous. Sometimes I pick up a mistake, but I dare not discuss it with him as I will be shouted at, no matter who made the mistake. If he picks it up he also shouts at me for not bringing it to his attention.  I am always between a rock and a hard place - damned if I do and damned if I don't. All this tension at work has an effect on me as I had a panic attack for the first time in my life last week. I went to see my doctor and was put on medication and told to avoid stressful situations. This however is not possible as I need to work, but although the Manager knows about it, it does not stop him from shouting at me this morning. I could feel the panic starting again as my heart beated faster and I felt numb, so I walked around a bit to calm myself down.. I do not know how much longer I can bear this before I sit with serious health issues. It is so unfair as I always try and give a 100% at work, but it is never good enough. I urgently need advice, please.

Perhaps refer to http://www.labourprotect.co.za/Harassment.html

Unfortunately it isn't easy to deal with interpersonal situations within an office from a labour law perspective, and each office environment is different. It is also not entirely possible to give you legal advice for a non-legal issue.

Perhaps follow the advice contained in the link above.
