Good morning
I am currently on maternity leave. I return to work at the beginning of May. As per my employment contract, I'm entitled to 4 months fully paid, however, I decided to only take 3 months off.
The company that I work for amended the maternity leave policy earlier this week. It now states that any employee who has fully paid maternity leave has to pay pack the amount paid over to them during their maternity leave period should they resign or get fired within 12 months of them returning to work.
Does this apply to me even though the changes were made after I went on maternity leave?
The staff do not sign any policy amendments. The policies are updated online.
