I have a contract that states a months notice is required but i have given two weeks as I am not a permanent staff member and i have been employed for less than a year.   I was interviewed and promised a permanent positon after my probation period was worked but this was not delivered and neither was i put on the provident fund even though my contracts states that i should be paying half and the company half , this was also a breach on the companys behalf.   In addition to this , I have been victimised by my boss as things spoken in confidence to him was publicised infront of other members of staff and more recently I was attacked and was put off work for a week due to stitches in my head caused by this. Although a valid hospital certificate was given , I was told he doesnt believe me and insisted i get a police case number for him to follow up on.   I do not want to work out a full month , is it required and what are the consequences to me leaving two weeks prematurely? I know i will be in breach but i refuse to work in this environment.   Can he withhold my leave payout and two weeks wages? How soon after i leave do they have to pay me out?
