"At-will employment" is an American term referring to employment agreements whereby the employer or employee may terminate the agreement without cause (mostly due to "equal bargaining power" between employer and employee in such agreements)
While it is possible in South African law to mutually agree to termination of an agreement, it is not possible for unilateral termination without complying with the relevant legislation.
