I Urgently need advice, on the 4th of June 2014, i became very ill at work, i am under an agency and she works far from us and only comes to our workplace maybe once in a month where i work, the thing is i asked my HR where i work for a half day as i was not feeling well and he said its fine i can leave early and now i got a letter for a disciplinary hearing, please advice and she even threatens us that if we ever tell the HR of where we work anything there would be trouble, shes threatening me and even says shes not scared of firing us and not scared of going to CCMA please advice, the hearing is scheduled for next week monday
If you have a medical certificate, there should be very little that can be done at a disciplinary hearing. For a disciplinary hearing, you should receive in the notice a "charge sheet" stipulating what misconduct you are being accused of. If this has not been indicated to you, then it will not be possible for you to prepare a defence and it is likely that the matter can be taken on review.
