The company we work for is currently in the process of retrenching staff members, and maybe looking at closing down because the lease period is ending at this site.
My question is regarding the difference between voluntary / normal retrenchment, they say that if / when we take voluntary retrenchment we get out more money from the monthly deductions that was paid towards our prvident fund?
Also we have heard that if we decide to relocate to another branch our provident fund will fall away (no money will be paid out) and we start fresh again? Are they allowed to do that?
