private car used for work

I am using my bantam for work. Due to heavy loads and high mileage the clutch started giving in. I work as a casual,get paid daily. As the repair would have cost a fair amount my boss had the repair done by backjard mechanics. Now the gearbox is damaged and reverse gear not working. My boss now puts pressure on me to brand my car to suit his company or he will not pay for the repair. He offered also an increase of fifty rand a day if I do it. I need the job but don't want to change the colours of my car. What are my rights?J

Your personal property is yours to do with as you please - there is no obligation on you to brand the vehicle rising from the employment agreement. Such an agreement (in terms of branding the car in return for repairs) would be separate or an amendment to the employment agreement, but cannot be forced on you.

It would obviously be advisable for the employer to provide a company vehicle for you to travel with for work purposes, which can then be branded any which way he prefers.
