Is it necesary  to be forced to sign confidentiality agreement based on the section where i am working  meanwhile there is a whistle blowing policy for all employees of the company.

Please advise

It depends on the nature of your work environment - the employer might have legitimate concerns regarding the secrecy surrounding new products under development. However, any "whistle-blowing" is a protected disclosure in terms of the Protected Disclosures Act of 2000 if it is made in good faith and, if the information is incorrect, the employee had reason to believe that the information was true. Any dismissal related to such a protected disclosure is automatically unfair.
