Does an expatriate have a choice as to where he will be posted next. We have been working for a company for +8 years and do not want to be posted too far away from South Africa because of family ties and medical care. What are our options? Thank you.
That depends entirely on the employment contract. If the contract makes provision for such work, then it there is a contractual obligation. However, should there be no provision for such relocation, then it would amount to a unilateral change to employment contract.
