Could you kindly assist me with the following query? I went for an interview and was offered a position at Company X . I did not accept their initial salary offer. They subsequently made me a counter offer which I accepted. Upon enquiry when I should resume for duty I was informed that they are seeking advice from DPSA regarding the implementation/ interpretation of certain clauses of the Resolutions dealing with the OSD ( Occupational Specific Dispensations ) for GIS Technicians. I do not understand why they did not seek advice regarding salary ranges before making me an offer. It has been four (4) months since I received the offer letter and still not been informed when I can resume duty.
