Good day

I just need some advice.

In short = 2 managers of my company offerred me a position (Prod Accountant) with career development opportunities earlier this year, my old position was advertised and filled. When I should have started in July in my new position, everything was put on hold because some of the colleques felt that I was unfairly given the opportunity.

I went to my Union and we followed the normal grievance procedure of the company, during this time, the 2 managers who offered me the position left the company and the newly appointed managers denied knowledge of such an offer to me.  The wanted me to do the work as I should have in my new position but with no benefits.

I didn't agree and we lodged a case at the CCMA, at consultation we couldn't reach an agreement, so the case was referred to Abritation.

We received the date for abritration earlier this month - date is 16 Jan 2012.

Out of the blue this morning, my new HOD brings me a letter of appointment as an Cost Controller with no benefits, date of appointment 1 July 2011!

What should I think of this?

I am not 100% satisfied, because I still want the benefits which was promised.

Should I still go ahead with arbitration, what would you suggest?
