with problems at work?
Hi there, i work in an enviroment , where i monitor close circuit television, but this situation changes when it comes to doing night shift duty.
The premises is all quiet until the next morning, but for almost six( 6) hours out of the eight(8) there is no movement.
The team that i work with then decided its best to buy a television so that we still apply ourselves actively.
My senior supervisor came to hear of the tv, and feel that we should not have a tv.
Now my brain cannot find ways to keep itself occupied, as i am not even allowed to read a book, while on duty.
Other centres has acknowledge that they have televisions in there control rooms, so where is the accountability within the company policy.
There is nothing unlawful about denying you a television. An employer can dictate the work enviroment as they wish, within certain legal bounds. As such, this action is well within their rights.
