Hi I would like to know what the law states about study leave.Do i get the day before and the day i am writing as paid leave or can the company not pay me for these days taken?
Study leave is not included in our legislation, rather something that is discussed between the employer and the employee or it may be included in the company's policies and procedures.
Study leave, employees may apply for annual leave (if your company does not make provision for study leave) as to the amount of days that is needed, to be approved by the company.
If the employee has expired the annual leave allocated, the employee may still apply for leave, it will then be unpaid leave.
